Senior Mortgage Manager

This senior role entails leading teams in mortgage origination, with expertise in post-closing review and correspondent experience in US Home Loan products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily team management, including attendance, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews.
  • Develop working knowledge of RESPA/TRID review and other federal, state, and industry compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate professionally with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and mortgage lenders to ensure successful closings.
  • Enhance customer service levels by assisting in the application process, overseeing all mortgage loan closings, and completing all post-closing requirements promptly.
  • Ensure long-term quality control and salability of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to lender underwriting guidelines and federal regulations.
  • Design coaching and training programs for new and existing staff members.
  • Utilize quality assurance data to improve overall lender decision making.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and document resulting changes.
  • Create a reporting suite to communicate performance to team members, peers, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Monitor and oversee the loan production pipeline, ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Prepare action plans or corrective actions when individual metrics are not met.
  • Communicate key initiatives, deliverables, and expectations across teams.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including timecards, schedules, vacations, and performance reviews.
  • Continuously review processes and identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • At least 72-84 months of mortgage origination experience, including post-closing review and correspondent experience in US Home Loan products.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and TRID guidelines.
  • Management experience in human resources or operations is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good supervision, organization, and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills.

  • Maintain service level standards.
  • Identify training needs and implement trainings to the team.
  • Create Key Result Areas (KRA) for the team to align with process objectives.
  • Review process compliance and conduct internal governance for audits.
  • Support Team Leaders and Team Members to deliver optimum output.
  • Adhere to process deadlines.
  • Client Management.
  • Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement.
  • Work Breakdown Review/Monthly Business Review/Quarterly Business Review with clients and internal stakeholders.
