About Us

We have been a renowned institution in education for many years, with a long-standing legacy and respected reputation. Our school is dedicated to providing special education and vocational training for children and adults with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.

We offer a comprehensive pre-vocational and vocational training program, including the NIOS curriculum, supported by a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals providing physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.

Our Mission

We are seeking passionate individuals to work with learners with multiple disabilities and guide participants in the NIOS Program.

Role Description:

  • Individualised Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and regularly review IEPs tailored to each student's needs, in collaboration with parents, therapists, and other school staff.
  • Instructional Support: Deliver customized instruction to students based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Curriculum Adaptation: Modify the standard curriculum to meet the abilities of students with disabilities.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement and monitor behaviour intervention plans and use positive behaviour supports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and parents to support students' academic and social development.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student performance and progress regularly, adjusting goals accordingly.
  • Classroom Environment: Maintain a supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, assessments, and communications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or P.G. Diploma or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent in Multiple Disabilities.
  • 3 to 7 years working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive aids and devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good organisational and documentation skills.
  • Bilingual medium of instruction requires candidates to be proficient in English and Tamil.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and specialized instructional strategies.
