A seasoned Automotive Design Specialist sought for Hood Bonnet Position

The role of a BIW Bonnet Design Lead is to drive innovation in excellence of automotive design and engineering. This position requires an individual with 4-8 years of experience in hood/bonnet design & development at an automobile OEM, with expertise in Catia and PLM software.
- Key responsibilities include developing and refining 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for hood outer panels, inner reinforcements, hinges, latches, and strikers.
- The successful candidate will ensure compliance with pedestrian protection regulations and front crash safety standards by collaborating with teams in BIW, sealing, latching, thermal management, and styling.
- A strong background in tooling feasibility, material selection (steel, aluminum, composites), and manufacturing processes is essential.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering is required with 3-10 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of engineering and system documents like DFMEA, DVP, DFA, and good technical knowledge of automotive sheet metal parts.
Candidates with experience in preparing and delivering presentations of concepts/master sections, as well as tolerance stack up and GD&T are highly preferred.
