Bonnet Design Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Bonnet Design Engineer to drive innovation in vehicle architecture. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will lead end-to-end bonnet design within BIW architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, manufacturing, and styling to ensure design excellence.
- Develop and refine 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for hood outer panels, inner reinforcements, hinges, latches, and strikers.
- Drive concept development, feasibility studies, and DFMEA to meet safety, regulatory, and performance targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Tolerance Stack Up and GD&T: Apply your expertise to optimize design accuracy and quality.
- Sheet Metal Parts and Manufacturing Processes: Utilize your knowledge of automotive sheet metal parts, manufacturing, and assembly processes to drive efficient production.
- Supplier Interaction and Part Development: Collaborate with suppliers to develop high-quality components that meet our standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in BIW bonnet or closure system design.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal, GD&T, packaging, and tooling constraints.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Catia V5/V6, NX, etc.).
