Job Title: BIW Bonnet Design Lead
Exciting Opportunity for Automotive Design and Engineering Excellence
We are seeking a talented individual to lead our end-to-end bonnet design within the body in white (BIW) architecture. The successful candidate will drive innovation in vehicle architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams including CAE, manufacturing, and styling.
Responsibilities:- Lead the development of 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for hood outer panels, inner reinforcements, hinges, latches, and strikers.
- Ensure compliance with pedestrian protection regulations and front crash safety standards.
- Collaborate with teams in BIW, sealing, latching, thermal management, and styling to ensure proper integration.
- Develop and refine design concepts, feasibility studies, and design for manufacturability engineering (DFMEA).
Requirements:
- 4-10 years of experience in hood/bonnet design and development at an automobile OEM.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Catia V5/V6, NX, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal, GD&T, packaging, and tooling constraints.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
