Job Description

As a key member of our project team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of parts and managing supplier relationships.

The Project Supply Chain lead is responsible for interfacing between the supply chain and the project to guarantee first deliveries of parts purchased and secure supplier deliveries for serial and NPI production.

You will work closely with external partners and commercial departments to ensure integration of logistical needs and policy between ALSTOM Transport suppliers and chains.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deal quickly and effectively with a variety of topics, summarize and focus on critical issues, and coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage interfaces between supply chain and project to guarantee first deliveries of parts purchased.
  • Interface management with external partners and commercial departments.
  • Ensure integration of logistical needs and policy between ALSTOM Transport suppliers and chains.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify critical suppliers and drive preventive action plans in partnership with PrSM.
  • Guarantee level of stock according to objectives of Supply Chain Department through negotiation of logistics plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to deal quickly and effectively with a variety of topics.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to summarize and focus on critical issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Results-driven approach.

Technical Competencies and Experience:

  • OTIF (On Time In Full) per supplier.
  • First parts shipments from suppliers according to project planning.
  • Inventory coverage measured in number of cars and week of consumption.
  • Total costs of acquisition (measured until point of consumption).

Experience:

  • 8-12 years of experience in Supply Chain Procurement/Projects.
  • Language skills: proficient in English language, Tamil, Hindi.
  • IT skills: SAP, MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
