Database Administrator Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to support our database operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to convey findings and recommendations to large groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support ongoing efforts for multiple database re-platforming efforts to Exadata platforms.
  • Review and implement data loading scripts related to Golden Gate data replication.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries and indexes in Oracle databases.
  • Work with Oracle 12c/Oracle 19c/Exadata capabilities and functionality.
  • Develop skills using PL/SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers).
  • Perform performance tuning using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.
  • Manage database objects like tablespaces, users, indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, and synonyms.
  • Monitor database performance regarding memory usage, backups, active sessions, long-running queries, and space allocations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of logical and physical DBA experience, including Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Database Data Movement and Processing.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology.
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Teamwork skills.
