Job Description

Production Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee our daily production operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production operators, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, maintaining strict quality standards, and promoting a safe and productive working environment.

This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning & Execution:
    • Supervise and manage daily production activities on a specific shift or production line to ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
    • Plan and organize the workflow, allocate tasks to production operators/workers, and monitor their progress to optimize productivity.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials to achieve production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and take immediate corrective actions to prevent delays.
  • Quality Control & Assurance:
    • Ensure all products are manufactured strictly according to specified quality standards, technical drawings, and customer requirements.
    • Conduct regular in-process quality checks and inspections, ensuring adherence to quality control plans (QCPs).
    • Identify and address quality issues, implement immediate corrective actions, and work to minimize rejection rates and rework.
  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead, motivate, coach, and mentor a team of production operators, fostering a positive, disciplined, and results-oriented work environment.
    • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of the team members.
    • Manage daily attendance, address minor disciplinary issues, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Compliance:
    • Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and industrial safety norms.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections on the shop floor and immediately address any unsafe conditions or acts.
    • Promote a strong safety culture among the team and ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
    • Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues, production bottlenecks, and minor equipment malfunctions on the production line.
    • Coordinate effectively with the maintenance and engineering teams for major equipment breakdowns or complex technical assistance.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed daily production records, shift-wise output, quality inspection logs, downtime reports, and material consumption records.
    • Prepare and submit regular production reports, communicating key performance metrics to the production manager.
