Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of freight forwarding, including coordination with procurement, warehousing, and distribution teams.
  • Manage import/export operations, including documentation preparation, vendor coordination, and shipment tracking.
  • Analyze imports and export-related port data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics and reduce risks associated with global trade.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Monitor and manage customs duties and tariff exposures, implementing duty mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with international trade, ensuring a secure and reliable import/export process.
  • Ability to monitor trade trends, analyze data, and develop strategies for efficient import/export operations.
  • Coordinates with Customs House Agents and shipping lines to ensure smooth clearance and compliance.
  • Handles import documentation, including Bill of Entry, LC, etc.
  • Ensures timely clearance and compliance with DGFT and customs.
  • Adheres to customs regulations and trade laws, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Manages booking, tracking, and cost negotiations to ensure optimal results.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in logistics management, customs brokerage, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade laws, and international trade practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with suppliers, customs officials, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with commitment to delivering high-quality results.
