Lead System Engineer Position

The role of Lead System Engineer is a critical one, requiring exceptional technical expertise and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Unix server administration, including installation, configuration, migration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, security, failover, and load management.

This position requires a high degree of initiative, dependability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills are also essential for effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will possess 7-10 years of experience in Linux administration, with a strong background in Red Hat Linux. Additionally, they will have experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, migration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, security, failover, and load management of business application servers
  • Performing Unix update management tasks and resolving issues
  • Managing and understanding network requirements for Unix server infrastructure

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Linux administration
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite, Capsule, and Template Management
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, and Python
