Sensor and machine vision engineers are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing sensor systems that can capture high-quality images and data in industrial environments. This role involves working on real-world problems with immediate factory impact.
As a sensor and machine vision engineer, you will be part of a young, growing company that is dedicated to bringing Industry 4.0 to life in factories that need it most. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from measuring steel bars flying out of a rolling mill to spotting defects in plastic pipes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sensor systems that can capture high-quality images and data in industrial environments
- Work with hardware selection and integration with DAQ tools, PLCs, and basic OpenCV scripts
- Develop mounts and enclosures that survive heat, vibration, and factory grit
- Troubleshoot and iterate quickly when challenges pop up
- Support pilot deployments across customer sites in India
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in sensors, automation, or machine vision
- Knowledge of laser triangulation, ultrasonic NDT, or machine vision systems
- Ability to design practical mechanical setups (mounts, fixtures, enclosures)
- Comfortable with Python/OpenCV/DAQ basics and PLC connections
- Willingness to get hands dirty in high-heat/industrial environments
- Based in India, with flexibility to travel for deployments
- Available ~20 hrs/week (flexible schedule)
