IT Support Specialist

The role of IT Support Specialist involves providing technical assistance to employees with various hardware, software, and network-related issues. As an entry-level position, this job requires a strong understanding of basic computer systems, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity problems
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as installing and updating software
  • Document all IT assets, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing or documentation system
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (mandatory)
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support or administration (internships, part-time roles, or self-taught experience welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • Network concepts (e.g., IP addresses, DNS, routers, switches)
  • Hardware components (e.g., computers, printers, servers)
  • Office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical staff
