About the Executive Culinary Director:

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain a highly efficient operation by constantly analyzing quality and cost of food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain set standards and monitor time management to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to subordinates, ensuring company standards are followed.
  • Ensure safe, quality food products and complete guest satisfaction through effective leadership.
  • Develop and comply with systems, procedures, rules, objectives, and timescales set by the organization.
  • Work within a technical/specialized area of expertise to improve service and product quality.
  • Achieve goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner while adopting an accommodating and helpful demeanor.
  • Conduct daily food tastings to ensure adherence to menus, recipes, methods, and operational specifics provided by the company.
  • Mentor and counsel subordinates to boost morale and personal esteem.
  • Maintain high crew morale within administration, ensuring all crew members are treated fairly and work together in a positive atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership experience, and minimum 8 years of experience in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in luxury hospitality establishments or upscale cruise lines.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Possess ability to lead and make decisions effectively.
  • Good administrative skills and flexibility with scheduled work hours.
  • Ability to work with international team members and perform duties under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cruise Ship Experience or 5-star Hotel.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
