Job Title: Project Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct project execution tasks and oversee project management, scheduling, planning, erection, and commissioning within stipulated timelines.
  • Submit monthly MIS reports to senior management on engineering, design, and project execution progress.
  • Develop project scope, Gantt chart, budget, safety plan involving stakeholders for distributed projects delivery.
  • Provide detailed attention to health and safety protocols adherence.
  • Support the team in troubleshooting installation-related issues and BOM submission to Purchase with utmost accuracy.
  • Collaborate with RMS team to resolve DGPD & ZFD selection and configuration critical issues for timely handing over to Asset Management team.
  • Optimize cost of delivered projects by regular major costs tracking and ensure 100% Projects WBS updates in ERP on a regular basis.
  • Provide design and engineering support for distributed projects and optimize design to minimize costs in terms of materials used.
  • Validate designs, identify constraints, bottlenecks, and provide corrective actions to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Coordinate need-based client meetings, vendor meetings, site visits, and coordination activities.
  • Take enough inputs for Design and reduce the number of iterations required.
  • Understand organization requirements from engineering and project execution related requirements and build necessary skills and technical competency within the team.
  • Provide technical and safety trainings to the team and maintain proper documentation of all projects in OneDrive and ERP.
  • Ensure files are easily accessible on Drive, maintaining proper checklist/documentation.
  • Adhere to standards/guidelines issued by Electricity Boards, MNRE, IEC, IEEE, BIS etc.
  • Implement new ideas, design software to add value in Engineering design.
  • Identify resource requirements including design software to meet design goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments.
    • Work with the sales team to understand client's requirements, hold need-based meeting client to deliver committed projects.
    • Manage Commercial/SoW related issues with sales team proactively.
    • Follow-up and coordinate with purchase team for timely dispatch of material to sites.
    • Discuss regularly with Asset Management team for smooth handover of projects as per guidelines and timely clearance of observations.
    • Support project team to resolve site/client-related issues.
      • Vendor Management.
        • Empanel, develop, and manage execution vendors for flawless execution of projects.
        • To develop internal team to manage vendors.
        • Ensure ESG compliance by the vendors.
        • To build processes to ensure good quality of delivered projects.
        • To provide necessary safety training to vendors for incident/accident-free execution of projects.

Required experience level – 18-22 years
