Job Title: Polarion Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and implement Polarion ALM solutions across systems engineering domains. The ideal candidate will bring expert-level configuration skills, combined with strong domain knowledge in the V-model, automotive or battery system development, and experience working in SAFe-based agile teams.

  • This role requires a deep understanding of requirements management, validation, release planning, and documentation within Polarion. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of requirements, validation, release management, and safety & product documentation.
  • The position involves tool support, process rollout, training delivery, and test concept creation. It also includes configuring and tailoring Polarion ALM to support project-specific requirements, test planning, validation, release, and documentation workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement processes, workflows, traceability matrices, and custom templates aligned with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and quality frameworks.
  • Lead the rollout of Polarion solutions across international teams, including training, documentation, and end-user support.
  • Develop and maintain test concepts, oversee test operations, and provide support for Polarion tool-related issues.
  • Manage safety-relevant documentation and ensure regulatory compliance in automotive/battery systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment following the SAFe framework (10-week Program Increments).
  • Support and coach users across departments to effectively utilize Polarion features.

Required Skills:

Polarion Expertise (Mandatory)

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Polarion configuration, workflow implementation, and process customization.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage project templates, custom fields, scripts, permissions, and dashboards.
  • Experience integrating Polarion with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, Doors, Teamcenter, or other ALM/PLM systems.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model methodologies for requirements engineering, validation, change management, and release planning.
  • Experience working in the automotive and/or battery system development sectors is highly desirable.

Agile & Communication Skills

  • Proven experience in SAFe-based agile teams, including participation in PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, and cross-team coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to train, support, and mentor international, cross-functional teams.
