Structural Engineering Building Specialist

This is a challenging role that involves designing and detailing prefabricated steel structures.


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Building Specialist to design, detail, and oversee the construction of pre-engineered building (PEB) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural analysis, steel design, fabrication, and detailing, as well as proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Tekla Structures) and structural analysis software (STAAD-PRO, ETABS).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Detailing:
    a. Develop designs and detailed drawings based on architectural plans and requirements.
    b. Utilize specialized software to create accurate drawings.
    c. Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and safety standards.
    d. Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety and efficiency of the structure.
    e. Review and check fabrication drawings and design of steel welded/bolted connections.
  • Project Management & Execution:
    a. Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
    b. Allocate resources efficiently (labor, materials, equipment).
    c. Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
    d. Oversee and manage on-site erection and installation of PEB structures, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of PEB systems, structural analysis, steel design, fabrication, and detailing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and structural analysis software.
  • Understanding of building codes and standards.
  • Data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organizing and planning has the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work entrusted.
