Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Operations Coordinator to join our team at Marriott International. In this role, you will assist in the daily activities of the Human Resource Office, including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in managing recruitment and hiring processes, including interviewing and hiring HR employee team members as needed
  • Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources, such as job fairs and local organizations
  • Network with peers to source candidates for current or future openings
  • Monitor candidate identification and selection process, and perform quality control on candidate identification/selection
  • Work with unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims and review reports for accuracy
  • Attend unemployment hearings and ensure proper representation, as needed
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation program to generate a positive first impression for employees and emphasize guest service in company culture
  • Ensure attendance by all new hires and participation of leadership team in training programs
  • Maintain effective employee communication channels in the property, including developing daily communications and assisting with regularly scheduled property-wide meetings
  • Review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, and check for supportive documentation and determine appropriate action
  • Utilize an 'open door' policy to acknowledge employee problems or concerns in a timely manner
  • Partners with Loss Prevention to conduct employee accident investigations, as necessary
  • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position
  • Ensure compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing employee files and ensure compliance with the Privacy Act
  • Facilitate random, reasonable belief and post-accident drug testing process (in properties where applicable)
  • Communicate property rules and regulations via the employee handbook
  • Assist with periodic claims reviews with Regional Claims office to ensure claims are closed in a timely manner and reserve levels are appropriate for open claims
  • Assist with managing Workers Compensation claims to ensure appropriate employee care and manage costs

  • A high school diploma or GED, with 2 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field
  • Or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in human resources, business administration, or a related major, with no work experience required


Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
