Database Administrator

The primary responsibilities of this role include supporting database operations including but not limited to performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, access management, and database analysis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing efforts and provide technical support for multiple database re-platforming efforts to Exadata.
  • Reviewing and implementing data loading scripts related to Golden Gate data replication.
  • Optimization and tuning of SQL queries and indexes in Oracle.
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of logical and physical DBA experience, including experience in Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of Database Data Movement and Processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in performance tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.
  • Strong knowledge of database triggers, indexes, and partitioning.
  • Expertise in Oracle architecture.
Daily Tasks and Objectives
  • Create database objects such as tables and indexes.
  • Investigate performance issues and implement solutions.
  • Monitor data retention and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborate closely with data architects, data analysts, and database owners to support both short-term work requests and long-term strategy implementation.
