Contracting Manager Position

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Contracting Manager to formulate strategic contracting approaches that minimize risk and optimize outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive contracting strategies for facility development, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with contractors to administer contracts throughout their life cycle, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Conduct market research on yard availability, vendor bases, and long-lead items to inform contracting decisions.
  • Tender surface facility requirements, procuring high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
  • Draft complex contracts related to surface facilities, considering policy and process compliance.
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting contracting methods and commercial evaluation criteria.
  • Provide expert guidance on contract drafting, negotiation, and technical matters to minimize risk and ensure compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven procurement experience, including tendering, sourcing, contract negotiation, and contract management.
  • In-depth knowledge of surface facility contracting, market intelligence, and contract drafting.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Expertise in contract management, change control processes, and digital sourcing platforms such as SAP and Ariba.
