Job Title: Application Specialist
">This is a key role that supports the organization by ensuring software operates efficiently so end-users can complete tasks. The ideal candidate will work closely with the business to design, develop, implement, integrate and support applications.
Responsibilities:
">- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated application incidents and problems; act as point of escalation for support issues that cannot be resolved by the Help Desk
- Work directly with IT and Development on new implementations and various project work
- Assist users in finding ways to utilize software and technology more effectively and securely
- Evaluate/test new software and business solutions
- Ensure data security and integrity for all applications
- Audit and monitor systems for deficiencies and perform necessary maintenance
- Analyze and diagnose application-related problems and issues
- Assist in application training of existing users and new employees
- Explore new solutions including testing, design, modifications and deployment required to meet business requirements
Requirements:
">- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant and related work experience
- Strong knowledge of standard IT practices and workflows
- Advanced knowledge and applications troubleshooting
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and organization skills
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within the education software industry, building dashboards or having a deep understanding of Business Intelligence, strong project management and verbal communication skills
