Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, build, customise and integrate solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, customise and extend D365 Business Central using AL (extensions 2.0) with a focus on creating scalable and efficient code.
  • Design and implement extensions, integrations and third-party connectivity to enhance business processes.
  • Modernise existing C/AL code into AL, ensuring smooth migration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues in BC environments with a high level of proficiency.
  • Work with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications and drive project deliverables.
  • Follow coding standards, performance best practices and security guidelines to ensure the integrity of our systems.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations (REST, OData, SOAP) and data migration scripts to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Conduct unit testing, participate in peer code reviews and support deployments to ensure the highest quality deliverables.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance and version upgrades to ensure our systems remain up-to-date and secure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a NAV / Business Central developer with a strong background in AL development.
  • Strong command of AL development and the VS Code extension environment, with expertise in integrating various tools and technologies.
  • Experience with C/AL and migration projects to AL, with a deep understanding of the implications and benefits of each approach.
  • Solid understanding of Business Central architecture, modules and workflows, with a focus on optimising system performance and efficiency.
  • Skilled in API development and integrations (REST, OData, SOAP), with a solid grasp of data modelling and database optimisation principles.
  • Proficient in SQL Server, data modelling and database optimisation, with a focus on designing and implementing efficient databases.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git, Azure DevOps), with a solid understanding of collaborative development principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging ability, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving project success.
Preferred / Good to Have:
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification(s), with a focus on demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), with a focus on leveraging these tools to drive business innovation and growth.
  • Experience deploying or managing BC in SaaS/cloud environments, with a focus on scalability, security and reliability.
  • Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery models, with a focus on driving collaboration, flexibility and rapid iteration.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
