Job Role:

The technical purchasing specialist will be responsible for coordinating with superintendents to ensure timely delivery of technical spare parts or ship repair services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with vessels to obtain required information pertaining to requisitions.
  • Following up on quotations from suppliers.
  • Preparing purchase orders and delivery documents/invoices/packing lists.
  • Assisting in logistics arrangements (air transport/sea transport).
  • Coordinating with agents and ships for the supply of spare parts and repair services to vessels at convenient ports.
  • Processing invoices – verifying vendor invoices against quotations and ensuring invoices are processed within the credit term period.
  • Documenting and filing invoices.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the manager/superintendents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in spares stores services and all technical purchasing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

As a key team member, you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Location: Gurugram.
