Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Exadata DBA to support the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

About the Role

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous engagement with the assigned client base
  • New customer transition, administration, and maintenance plan
  • Ensure continuous communications in a consultative approach
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand)
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery
  • Lead and support end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate)
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools
  • Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible)
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and OCI environments
  • Participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews
  • Provide on-call support and participate in scheduled maintenance windows
  • Be available for on-call support
  • Consult on additional opportunities
  • Review operational metrics
  • Build a knowledge base, document, and develop standard operation procedures for each customer's Oracle database architecture
  • Uphold company policies and procedures
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as requested
