We are looking for an experienced Loan Underwriter who can review mortgage files, analyze data, and make informed decisions. As a Loan Underwriter Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all loan documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze mortgage loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate loan applications to determine creditworthiness and risk
- Determine loan eligibility and approve or deny loan applications
- Collaborate with loan officers and processors to resolve issues and answer questions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting
- Strong knowledge of income calculations, tax returns, and credit reports
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to obtain NMLS-MLO Licenses preferred
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
