Senior Build and Installer Developer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Build and Installer Developer. In this role, you will play a key part in the product release process, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining build and installer packages for NI products across various platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with teams to meet build, installer, and release requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership for build and installer initiatives within NI product lines.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide ongoing technical guidance.
  • Maintain and enhance the build and test infrastructure for NI products.
  • Contribute to internal build tools and open-source projects as needed.
  • Find opportunities for automation and implement appropriate solutions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development with a focus on build and installer systems.
  • Proven ability to lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Strong experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), build and automation tools (Azure DevOps, Git, GNU Make), scripting and development (Python), and package management systems (especially for Linux).
  • Showed understanding of debugging tools and Agile development methodologies.
