Job Description:

As a Kubernetes Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, setting up, and managing on-premises Kubernetes clusters using Nutanix. You will handle cluster lifecycle tasks such as upgrades, scaling, high availability, and disaster recovery. Additionally, you will automate cluster setup and configuration using tools like kubeadm, Helm, and Ansible.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong hands-on experience with kubeadm, Helm, and deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals
  • Experience with bare-metal provisioning, VM infrastructure, and storage solutions
  • Familiar with Helm, ingress controllers like NGINX or Traefik, and cert-manager
  • Practical experience with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana
  • Good understanding of networking in Kubernetes, ingress setup, and optionally service mesh
  • Strong in troubleshooting and monitoring using Kubernetes-native and external tools
  • Experience with Docker and deploying applications through CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes security and best practices in on-prem environments
  • Strong Linux system administration skills
