The Platform Operations team strives to maintain high standards within our expanding business by overseeing critical platforms on our Azure estate and providing support to our engineering teams to drive business value through technology.

The team offers extensive support for both our UK and Asia Pacific regions, requiring flexible working hours to meet our business needs. Despite being split across three geographies and supported by a technology partner, we maintain a unified feel and regularly collaborate to achieve common goals. As the centre of all cloud-related activities, the Platform Operations team is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and upkeep of our cloud infrastructure and platforms while empowering us to enhance, automate, and shape the future development of our digital estate.

To be successful in this role as an Infrastructure Specialist, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in your discipline and working in the IT industry
  • Hands-on experience as an IT Engineer with strong knowledge of different cloud technologies and platforms, with Azure experience being essential
  • Understanding of cloud governance, best practices, and policies within Azure
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot unknown technical issues
  • Proven track record in providing support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure, including incident management and root cause analysis
  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing automated solutions to overcome these
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams to support cloud solutions effectively

Storage Expertise:

  • Proficiency in storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of storage protocols (NFS, SMB, etc.)
  • Experience with storage management tools (EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, etc.)
  • Guide and architect future storage technologies
  • Experience with backup and recovery of data
