Public Affairs Leader

As a Public Affairs Leader at Inter IKEA Group, you will play a key role in shaping the company's public policy agenda in India. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage priority public affairs projects related to product safety, supply chain, trade, and sustainability. This will involve identifying and developing trusted relationships with key policy-makers, regulators, business associations, and opinion leaders. You will also represent Inter IKEA Group in external forums such as business associations, committees, and working groups. Additionally, you will gather and create consensus among internal stakeholders and franchisees, fostering strong collaboration across IKEA. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a comprehensive understanding of public policy and regulatory affairs, as well as excellent communication and diplomacy skills. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with national legislations, industry standards, and market developments, and for influencing these to support Inter IKEA Group's business goals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage priority public affairs projects related to product safety, supply chain, trade, and sustainability.
- Identify and develop trusted relationships with key policy-makers, regulators, business associations, and opinion leaders.
- Represent Inter IKEA Group in external forums such as business associations, committees, and working groups.
- Gather and create consensus among internal stakeholders and franchisees, fostering strong collaboration across IKEA.
- Stay up-to-date with national legislations, industry standards, and market developments, and influence these to support Inter IKEA Group's business goals.
Requirements
- Comprehensive working experience in a relevant position such as public affairs, regulatory affairs, government affairs, or public policy.
- Extended language skills, with fluency in both spoken and written English and preferably an additional language.
- Ability to travel extensively, within India primarily but also beyond.
