We are seeking a skilled Strategic Leader who can develop and implement comprehensive government affairs strategies that align with Cashfree Payments' business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will create a white paper on a company-to-country approach, evangelize the Cashfree Payments story across stakeholders, and build the brand with government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with local, state, and federal government officials, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and analyze legislation and regulations that impact Cashfree Payments, ensuring compliance and advising on necessary adjustments to business practices.
  • Issue Management: Identify and manage potential political and regulatory risks and crisis management, developing proactive strategies to address and mitigate these risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on public policy issues. Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, events, and forums.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary spokesperson for Cashfree Payments on governmental and regulatory matters. Prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Coalition Building: Work with industry peers and coalitions to advance common public policy goals and objectives. Represent or support Cashfree Payments representation in key industry associations in India and globally.
  • Policy Advocacy: Advocate for Cashfree Payments positions on legislative and regulatory issues, including drafting policy proposals, position papers, and testimony for hearings.

Requirements:

  • An accomplished leader with 8-10 years of experience and a proven track record in advocacy/public policy.
  • High integrity and a sense of purpose.
  • Inter-personal skills and the ability to engage effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Work with senior leadership.
  • A background in business administration, public policy, political science, public relations, along with an MBA or law degree preferred.
