Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Leader to develop and implement comprehensive government affairs strategies that align with Cashfree Payments business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will create white papers, evangelize our story, and build the brand with government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal government officials, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and analyze legislation and regulations that impact Cashfree, ensuring compliance and advising on necessary adjustments to business practices.
  • Issue Management: Identify and manage potential political and regulatory risks and crisis management, developing proactive strategies to address and mitigate these risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment on public policy issues. Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, events, and forums.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary spokesperson for Cashfree Payments on governmental and regulatory matters. Prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and reports to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Coalition Building: Work with industry peers and coalitions to advance common public policy goals and objectives. Represent or support Cashfree Payments representation in key industry associations in India and globally.
  • Policy Advocacy: Advocate for Cashfree Payments positions on legislative and regulatory issues, including drafting policy proposals, position papers, and testimony for hearings.
Requirements
  • An accomplished leader with 8-10 years of experience and a proven track record in advocacy/public policy.
  • High integrity and sense of purpose.
  • Inter-personal skills and ability to engage effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Work with senior leadership.
  • A background in business administration, public policy, political science, public relations, along with an MBA or law degree preferred.
