Financial Director

Role Overview

This is a diverse role requiring a highly commercial and analytical individual who is prepared to take on new challenges whilst navigating complex business landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: responsibilities for managing the Finance function, including planning and executing audits of Internal Financial control.
    • Plan and execute audit of Internal Financial control over financial reporting and prepare internal audit report. Prepare statutory audit, revenue audit, TDS return and Income Tax Return with support from local advisors.
    • Responsible for all accounting related issues, ensuring legal requirements are met.
    • Monitor financial details to ensure that legal requirements are met, providing accurate financial reports to management.
    • Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs and manage budget effectively.
    • Responsible for controlling income, cash flow and expenditure, collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information.
    • Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc., developing strategies to minimize financial risk.
    • Responsible for preparing and managing the process of procurement, stock/inventory, maintaining records of debtors and creditors.
    • Responsible for payroll management, ensuring timely payment to employees.
    • Responsible for preparing and analysing monthly MIS, providing insights for informed decision-making.
    • Responsible for providing ROC compliances, annual filing, incorporation of company etc.
  • Commercial Analysis: perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking for both the Indian business and the wider UK/International business.
    • Provide daily sales reporting, analysing financial data to create/maintain financial models for decision support.
    • Report on financial performance, preparing for regular leadership reviews, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
    • Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Represent Finance within the Commercial team, ensuring that business planning, accounting, and control are integrated into the decision-making process.
    • Participate in Finance and multi-function project teams, working closely with the CFO and Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
    • Benchmarking analysis, preparing business cases for strategic investments.
