The position of Marine Insurance and Claims Leader requires a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership skills.

Leadership

Act as the overall leader of the marine insurance and claims department, guiding a team of experts towards achieving organisational goals.

Represent the company as the primary point of contact for all marine insurance and claims policies and functions.

Policy Management

Lead the development and implementation of insurance policies that mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Review and approve insurance renewals, endorsements, and premium structures to optimise risk management and profitability.

Claims Resolution

Oversee the complete life cycle of insurance claims, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to insurer protocols.

Collaborate with P&I Clubs, Brokers, insurers, and other stakeholders to negotiate settlements and resolve claims efficiently.

Team Development

Directly supervise and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Ensure optimal departmental structure, delegation, and staff performance by conducting regular evaluations and providing constructive feedback.

Knowledge Management

Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices within the team, maintaining an up-to-date digital repository of policies, procedures, claim trackers, and audit documents.

Compliance and Risk

Ensure the department meets all internal and external compliance requirements, verifying that vessels maintain valid certificates required for port entry.

Identify and mitigate potential risks through proactive monitoring and analysis of insurance trends and market developments.
