Job Title: Operations LeadDepartment: Legal and Claims

The role of an Operations Lead in the Legal and Claims department is pivotal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and handle all legal issues regarding claims matters, ensuring timely resolutions and minimizing risks.
  • Collaborate with surveyors and outside counsel to negotiate reasonable expenses and ensure seamless claim handling processes.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements to enhance claims handling efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on Indian case law and regulations impacting our scope of activity, providing strategic recommendations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum graduate degree
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in the shipping industry, preferably with Cargo/Marine claims expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, reporting skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Ms.-office tools, particularly Excel & PowerPoint.
