Production Manager

Production schedulers and monitoring specialists play a vital role in the manufacturing process. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing production schedules, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions to ensure efficiency and productivity.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in production function of engineering industries. A mechanical engineering background or certification from CIPET is highly desirable. Additionally, proficiency in SAP, DOE for molding processes, and APQP related documentation is a plus.

• Production Scheduling and Monitoring: Oversee production schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Productivity Improvements: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity.
• Process Document Preparation: Prepare and maintain process documents, including process parameters and other relevant information.
• Manpower Allocation and Development: Allocate manpower effectively and develop team members to improve their skills and productivity.
• Quality System Adherence: Ensure adherence to quality systems, including TS and EMS standards.
• 5S and Safety Management: Maintain a safe and organized work environment by implementing 5S principles and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Monthly Performance Objectives: Prepare and communicate monthly performance objectives to the team.
• Secondary Operations Management: Manage secondary operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance of molding machines.
• Troubleshooting and Corrective Actions: Troubleshoot molding issues and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Team Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor team members to adapt to new technologies and improve productivity.
• Cycle Time Optimization: Analyze and optimize molding cycle times to improve efficiency.
• Customer Complaint Analysis: Analyze customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Hands-on Experience: Possess hands-on experience in running injection molding machines and accessories.
• New Tool Trials: Participate in new tool trials for plastic parts.
• Plastic Material Processing: Possess knowledge of different types of plastic material processing.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile RM/WIP stocks at the end of each month.
• Personal Protective Equipment: Familiarity with personal protective equipment while working.
• Near Miss Incidences: Report near miss incidences and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Environmental Impact: Minimize environmental impact by using machine controls as per daily check sheets.
• Energy Performance: Regularly monitor and measure energy performance.
• Pollution Prevention: Prevent pollution, reduce energy consumption, and conserve natural resources.
• Safe Working Environment: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and regulations.

• Mechanical Engineering Graduate: Possess a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Around 12-15 years of experience in production function of engineering industries.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge of molding processes and materials.
• People Development: Ability to develop people and teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• APQP Documentation: Proficiency in APQP related documentation and PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan.
• SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP software.
• DOE for Molding Process: Knowledge of DOE for molding processes.
• Molding Machine Specifications: Familiarity with molding machine specifications and selection for required products.
