Senior FIX Analyst Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior FIX Analyst to join our global FIX Connectivity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the FIX protocol and electronic trading business, with excellent analytical and logical thinking capabilities.

The Senior FIX Analyst will work closely with Sales and Implementations teams, Development, Product Dev, and Support teams to understand bespoke business workflows and translate them into a software solution. On a day-to-day basis, the role involves external communication with tech teams of clients/brokers and their technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the FIX protocol (ver. 4.2/4.4)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams of clients/brokers and their technology vendors
  • Analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of FIX protocol (ver. 4.2/4.4)
  • Experience working with programming languages (Java, C++, C, Python)
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux-based O/S Applications
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL queries (Oracle/SQL)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in multiple time zones (HK/EU/US hours)
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail and ability to think outside the box

Desired Skills:

  • Scripting knowledge in one of the following languages: Shell/Python
  • Familiarity with Algorithmic Trading
  • Previous experience with OMS/EMS, exchanges or trading firms

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from a reputable institution.
