IT Infrastructure Documentation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT infrastructure documentation specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating clear and actionable documentation.

This role will be instrumental in documenting the current and future state of our IT environment, working closely with project managers, architects, and engineering teams to gather requirements, create system diagrams, and define operational processes.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in diagramming and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, and Confluence). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze business and technical requirements from project managers, architects, and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of current and future state infrastructure, including network diagrams, system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, process and workflow documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support infrastructure and cloud-related projects by providing clear documentation and analysis.
  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables from a technical documentation perspective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical business analyst, systems analyst, or infrastructure documentation role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, cloud, and virtualization).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
