Business Development Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Executive to spearhead our sales efforts in India. This role requires frequent travel, proactive client engagement, and representing the company professionally in all business settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Expansion: Identify and visit potential solar deployment sites, including industrial facilities, reservoirs, and government-owned water bodies.
  • Lead Management: Follow up on all incoming leads, queries, and tenders to ensure timely engagement.
  • Client Engagement & Presentations: Arrange and attend meetings with clients, contractors, government bodies, and utilities to present solutions.
  • Site Assessment: Conduct preliminary assessments of water bodies for solar feasibility, coordinating with the technical team.
  • Pipeline Building: Develop and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline across target regions.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of visits, leads, and progress for management reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience in the solar industry (floating solar experience preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills in the solar ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with tender processes, EPC workflows, and solar project lifecycles.
  • Ability to travel extensively across India.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently.
