Transforming Backend Infrastructure

We seek an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to enhance our scalable backend systems. A key member of our engineering team, you will contribute to architecture, development, and operations of mission-critical services supporting our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs using Golang.
  • Proficiency in Ruby or Ruby on Rails is beneficial.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our service-oriented / microservices backend.
  • Develop clean, testable, efficient code with emphasis on quality.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact features.
  • Improve performance, monitoring, observability of backend services.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, technical planning.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve production issues focusing on reliability, root-cause analysis.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years software engineering experience, preferably in high-scale backend systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang required, Ruby or Ruby on Rails experience beneficial.
  • Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, system design.
  • Proven experience building, scaling distributed systems, APIs, backend platforms in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, monitoring tools, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, passion for building high-quality software.
