Key Treasury Role

This position involves overseeing financial assets and liabilities for an organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cash management, foreign exchange, and investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Liquidity Management: Oversee daily cash flows and ensure optimal liquidity across geographies.
  • Forecasting: Develop short-term and long-term cash forecasts.
  • Cash Automation: Support automation initiatives such as host-to-host payments.
  • Foreign Exchange & Risk Management:
    • Fx Exposure Monitoring: Monitor FX exposures and execute hedging strategies as per policy.
    • Valuations: Calculate MTM valuations and prepare exposure reports.
    • Negotiations: Work with banks on FX negotiations and derivative instruments.
  • Investments & Fund Management:
    • Evaluating Investment Options: Evaluate and recommend investment options (FDs, money markets, bonds, etc.).
    • Risk Assessment: Assess risk-return trade-offs and ensure compliance with investment policies.
    • Portfolio Performance Tracking: Track portfolio performance, P&L, and maintain investment registers.
  • Banking & Compliance:
    • Treasury Operations: Liaise with domestic and international banks for treasury operations.
    • Banking Negotiations: Negotiate banking terms to reduce cost of borrowing.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and internal treasury policies.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Treasury Reports: Prepare MIS, dashboards, and treasury reports for leadership.
    • Quarterly Reporting: Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
    • Accuracy Verification: Collaborate with accounting and audit teams for accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Cash Management Expertise: Strong understanding of corporate treasury operations (liquidity, FX, investments).
  • Financial Modeling Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, MS Excel, and treasury management systems (TMS).
  • Hedging Knowledge: Knowledge of hedging instruments, derivatives, and investment options.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • RBI Compliance: Familiarity with RBI/FEMA compliance preferred.
  • Education: MBA in Finance (CFA/FRM preferred).
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant corporate treasury experience.
  • Background Check: Experience limited to banking roles will not be considered.
