Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to lead design projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, and execute detailed phases of engineering work in major projects or moderate scope projects.
  • Create project estimates, product specifications, floor plans, and designs that meet customer requirements.
  • Develop engineering models and drawings using company standards and tools, including Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Participate in multi-discipline teams addressing specific design or process issues.
  • Perform continuous improvement/cost reductions on machines and options.
  • Conduct risk assessments for specific machines and/or options.
  • Develop documentation needed to approve the quality of machinery/options.
  • Promote tools/processes to improve overall company efficiency.
  • Collaborate in research and development projects under senior-level engineers' guidance.
  • Participate in sales meetings to describe product-related issues and ongoing work.
  • Attend customer meetings to discuss specific machine layouts, specifications, etc.
  • Manage costs, schedules, and performance on assigned projects.
  • Train Customer Service, Production Engineering, and customers on machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Familiarize yourself with all company safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Engineering Basics:
  • Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Statics, Geometric Dimensioning Tolerance.
  • Metal Knowledge:
  • Material properties and selection, Min. Max. of conventional and un-conventional Manufacturing process.
  • Industry-Specific Experience:
  • Discrete Machines / SPM / Machine Tool / Automation; Material Handling, Conveyor systems, Bulk Material handling.
  • Experience working on at least couple of engineering projects from start to finish (Scope, Specification, Idea, Concept Engineering and Cross-functional team experience.
  • CAD Proficiency:
  • 3D CAD modeling and detailing engineering - create 3D modeling and associated 2D manufacturing drawings with GDT.
  • Experience in CAD data management using PDM/PLM software.
  • Adherence to CAD standards - ISO, ANSI, experience in MBD will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in selection of mechanical OEM parts (sprockets, belts, etc.).
