Job Title: Principal Mechanical Design Specialist
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Design Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating and developing detailed mechanical designs with a focus on structural integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and develop detailed mechanical designs with a focus on structural integrity, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and specifications.
  • Perform comprehensive structural analysis and hand calculations to validate the performance and safety of designs under various loading conditions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of materials science and strength of materials.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Electrical engineers and Manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs into final products.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, analysis reports, and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance design process and product offerings.
  • Evaluate and apply practical design considerations to achieve design objectives relative to manufacturability, cost, quality, and durability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design with a strong background in structural design.
  • Ability to produce both concept and detailed designs using CREO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and simulations.
  • Strong knowledge in welding symbols and standards (API, ASME, ISA, ANSI, DIN).
  • Good communication, organizational, teaming, and analytical skills.
