
Senior Audit Associate Role

We are seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join our team of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of audit engagements, developing and demonstrating their skills and expertise.
">- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the audit approach, methodology, and tools used by our firm.
- Perform audit procedures and tests in accordance with our audit methodology, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
- Identify areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
- Research technical accounting issues and develop industry expertise.
- Prepare audit reports and management letters.
- Exercise professional skepticism, judgment, and adhere to our code of ethics while on engagements.
- Ensure that documentation is compliant with quality standards of our firm.
- Work collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals.
- Provide supervision and development training for associates.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.
- Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations, including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
- Participate in a range of projects and be open to collaborate and work with multiple teams; demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, initiative, and timely completion of work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant/ACCA/CPA certification.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field.
- Strong technical skills in accounting, including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication (English) skills, as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States-based engagement teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Financial Institutions (Lending) industry preferred.
- Strong data analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills (Chartered Accountant/ACCA/CPA, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
