Executive Search Associate

This role involves managing end-to-end delivery of retained search assignments, leading research mapping, candidate engagement, and client relationship management.

You will be responsible for handling existing relationships with key clients, ensuring the effective 'farming' of these relationships. Senior associates may work on mandates from multiple industries, sectors, or functions, geographic regions, and joint assignments with other associates.

  • Conduct research to meet client requirements, specifying target companies and universe.
  • Create a research strategy, including identifying and mapping the target universe, and taking ownership of the research report.
  • Develop a group of reliable sources and assist consultants with marketing, pitches, presentations, and candidate closure.

Candidate interaction skills are crucial in this role, as you will need to conduct candidate interviews, write up notes, and manage the candidate interview process.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to maintain a positive impression with clients, contribute in meetings, and demonstrate knowledge by communicating the research process.

A proactive approach is necessary to stay alert to potential business development opportunities, identify gaps in mappings and org charts, and understand practice group track records, clients, key placements, and off-limits areas.

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bright, articulate, well-presented, organized, and calm temperament
  • Excellent attention to detail, first-rate organizational skills, proactive, willing, adaptable, and good team player
