Highly Skilled Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator to assist with the design, maintenance, and monitoring of our infrastructure. This position will continually improve IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures for our organization and ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability for all on-premises and cloud-based resources.
The Senior System Administrator will work closely with our US-based IT team to align infrastructure practices and standards across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Configuring, deploying and maintaining Azure, AWS and Hyper-V server environments
- Administering and addressing user support tickets in alignment with ITIL principles
- Configuring, deploying and maintaining Active Directory services
- Administering and maintaining a hybrid Active Directory environment
- Administering and maintaining Microsoft 365 services
- Collaborating with the IT Security team to implement security best practices and controls
- Administering and maintaining regular backups and disaster recovery strategies
- Maintaining detailed documentation of infrastructure services
- Generating regular reports on server performance, security and compliance metrics
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues
- Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively
- Working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasks
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in system administration
- MCSE or equivalent certification
- Proficiency managing on-premises/cloud Windows server deployments in Hyper-V, Azure and AWS
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take calculated risks in uncertain or ambiguous situations
- Excellent organizational skills
