Job Opportunity: Senior Accounting Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team and manage end-to-end U.S. accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and process weekly timesheets & client invoices for accurate submission of payroll/accounting data.
- Prepare regular & ad-hoc reports in QuickBooks for informed decision-making.
- Manage and reconcile AP/AR accounts for effective financial management.
- Assist with GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close for seamless financial processes.
- Support financial statement preparation in line with U.S. GAAP standards.
- Track/manage PO expirations & related documentation for efficient procurement.
- Maintain master data for employees, customers, and vendors for accurate record-keeping.
- Liaise with state agencies for payroll, unemployment, and tax matters for compliant HR practices.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in U.S. accounting/bookkeeping (staffing/consulting preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance for a solid foundation.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles for sound financial guidance.
- Experience in payroll, AP/AR, and expense management for efficient financial operations.
- QuickBooks proficiency is mandatory for seamless accounting processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliations, for data analysis and visualization.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail for effective teamwork and quality output.
