Financial Portfolio Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and driven student to fill the role of Financial Portfolio Specialist. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for finance, risk assessment, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculating Returns: Develop and implement financial models in Excel, Python, or R to assess risk and return metrics on fixed-income securities.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze corporate bond spreads, relative valuations, and structured finance instruments to inform investment decisions.
  • Data Visualization: Clean and visualize sovereign credit research and CDS time series data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Assist in structuring and evaluating project finance and asset-backed securities to maximize returns while minimizing risk.
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Develop AI-driven approaches to analyze credit risk and probability of default for fixed-income securities.
  • Risk Management: Implement machine learning models to simulate Value at Risk (VaR) and provide actionable insights for portfolio managers.
  • Technical Skills: Develop proficiency in Microsoft Excel AI tools for financial modeling and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to integrate new ideas and best practices into the organization.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends in finance and technology.
Qualifications

Eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in an academic program and possess a strong foundation in finance, mathematics, and computer science.
