The Senior Manager - Merger & Acquisition role drives strategic growth by identifying and integrating acquisition targets, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
  • Identify potential M&A opportunities aligned with corporate growth objectives
  • Conduct detailed financial modelling and valuation analysis
  • Perform financial forecasting, business case development, and scenario analysis; Assess financial and operational risks associated with the transaction
  • Manage due diligence processes, working closely with internal teams, external advisors, and investment banks
  • Create presentations for internal review and senior leadership
  • Lead drafting of all transaction documents as well as closing procedures
  • Assist in post-merger integration, ensuring synergies and operational alignment

Strategy & Corporate Development:

  • Develop and refine business segment wise strategy, assessing industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities; lead creation of strategic plan documents for the business
  • Support senior leadership in defining long-term business objectives and investment plan
  • Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking
  • Prepare strategic plan and annual operating plan presentations and reports for executive leadership
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures to drive business expansion
  • Monitor post-investment performance and strategic alignment with corporate objectives
  • Lead program management for key corporate initiatives, ensuring completion and achievement of milestones

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess an MBA (Finance) from a Tier 1 institute / CA qualification
  • Hold a minimum CFA Level 2 certification
  • Demonstrate 5-7 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in M&A / Strategy roles
  • Understand M&A processes, documentation, and financial analysis
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling and presentation skills
  • Show hands-on experience with financial dataset tools (Bloomberg / Capital IQ)
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
