Job Title: CLOUD DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Database Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize databases hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Provision, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted databases with precision and accuracy.
  • Monitor database performance and availability using cloud-native tools for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement robust data security, backup, and recovery processes to prevent data loss.
  • Support migration of databases to the cloud from on-premises systems, ensuring seamless transition.
  • Create users, roles, and permission policies for database access while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Troubleshoot basic database issues with guidance from senior DBAs for rapid resolution.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and operational best practices to improve knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps and development teams for database-related needs, enhancing cross-functional communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database concepts for effective management.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings for optimal deployment.
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals to ensure business continuity.
  • Awareness of database security best practices to protect sensitive data.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn for ongoing improvement.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities for successful collaboration.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field for solid foundation.
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals / Google Cloud Digital Leader) will be an added advantage for advanced expertise.
