Job Opportunity

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and determined individual with a wide range of skills in various data administration, reporting, and dashboarding disciplines. The role requires an analytical thinker who pays significant attention to detail.

The job involves understanding business needs, designing, and building solutions that meet those needs. Capable individuals can architect, design, and implement warehouse and reporting solutions. They should be able to extract data from bespoke applications and third-party products, consolidate multiple data sources into a data warehouse and/or data lake, and ensure data accessibility and structure for reporting needs. Additionally, they should set up dashboards and reports in data visualization tools, build resilient solutions, and stay ahead of issues with proactive monitoring and alerting.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding business requirements and developing solutions to meet them.
  • Designing and implementing warehouse and reporting solutions.
  • Extracting data from diverse sources.
  • Consolidating data into a central repository.
  • Making data accessible and structured for reporting purposes.
  • Setting up data visualization tools and reports.
  • Building reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitoring and addressing issues proactively.
  • Implementing best practices and standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to design, develop, and maintain software.
  • Working with product management to prioritize technical debt and improve data structures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of strong experience with SQL Servers and relational databases.
  • Expertise in querying and optimizing complex data sets.
  • Strong background in creating and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Experience working with legacy code and systems.
  • End-to-end knowledge from product databases to information visualization.
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud technologies, including ADF, Functions, DLS, Synapse, etc.
  • Relational database design and architecture expertise.
  • Strong skills in data visualization and reporting using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Experience with ETL tools like SSIS, ADF, or others.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and modeling principles.
  • .NET and Azure experience are beneficial.
  • Agile environment experience is advantageous.
  • AWS cloud data technology experience is valuable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and track tasks.
