Job Title: Databases and Data Platforms Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled specialist to develop, maintain, and optimize database systems and data platforms.

  • Design, create, and implement stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, and cursors in PL/pgSQL.
  • Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins, sub-queries, and merge operations.
  • Perform data analysis, query tuning, and indexing for performance optimization in Azure PostgreSQL.
  • Automate data loads using Pgloader and other scripting methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions align with business requirements.
  • Work on shell scripting and Linux-based automation for database-related tasks.
  • Maintain best practices for database performance, security, and reliability.
Requirements
  • Primary Skills: Strong DB knowledge, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Secondary Skills: Shell scripting, Linux.
  • Hands-on development experience in PL/pgSQL stored procedures, triggers, cursors, functions, and packages.
  • Strong understanding of SQL query design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Azure PostgreSQL, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to data load automation tools (Pgloader preferred).
